About Us

Straight Line Racing Institute is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing the national sport of drag racing. Founded on a passion for speed, innovation, and competition, our Institute serves as an educational hub for enthusiasts, students, and the general public who want to better understand the history, culture, and mechanics behind one of America’s most iconic motorsports.

At the heart of our work is a simple but powerful mission: To promote and foster interest and education of the national sport of drag racing. This includes raising public awareness and providing education about the history and mechanics of drag racing, its vehicles, and engines.
